Macclesfield Town are delighted to announce that we have appointed World Champion Daniel Fry as our Virtual Football Manager.
The 37-year-old will take charge of The Silkmen ahead of the EFL Football Manager Cup which was unveiled earlier today.
Back in 2018, Daniel was crowned the Football Manager World eSports Champion at Insomnia 62 which was held at the NEC, Birmingham.
As part of his prize, Daniel had the once in a lifetime opportunity to manage a team of Norwich Legends as they faced Inter Milan at Carrow Road.
The tournament included 64 people from around the world - including Hungary, Holland, France, Spain, and Brazil, competing against each other to win the title.
Teams were setup by Sports Interactive and although the sides were different, they were balanced in terms of overall rating.
But what will Daniel bring to Macclesfield Town?
Here is what he told us to expect -
"I have a lot of experience playing Football Manager and have won every trophy imaginable, starting way back in 1995-96 with Championship Manager.
"Since then I have played every year and spent that time mastering my skills and understanding of the game.
"Some would say I am defensive, but I like my teams to be solid, difficult to beat and aggressive whilst being able to create a variety of goals and really mix things up.
"I like to get to know my teams strengths and weaknesses and create my tactic around my team, to get the best performances."
We wish Daniel the very best of luck and will monitor his progress closely!
