Macclesfield Town were incredibly moved and deeply saddened to learn of the passing of lifelong Silkmen fans Colin and Graham Barlow recently.
Passing away peacefully at the East Cheshire Hospice at the age of 95, Colin's death came a matter of days after that of his son Graham - who was suffering from an undiagnosed condition aged 71.
Colin had followed the club since the 1930's and was a familiar face at the Moss Rose for over eight decades.
A respected and unassuming figure, Colin's passion for Macclesfield Town was unwavering and this unquestionably rubbed off on Graham - who followed in his father's footsteps by becoming a loyal and valued member of the Silkmen family.
Graham was very much a pioneer of his time in terms of computer programming and up until very recently, he had been a regular contributor on the unofficial website Wraggs To Riches.
Known for his articulate, intelligent and balanced reflections, Graham undoubtedly commanded the same level of respect as that of his father and there is no doubt that his considered insights will be sorely missed by a great many people.
The club will be donating items to assist with both Colin and Graham's send-off's and we would like to express our most heartfelt sympathies to their family and friends at this difficult time.
