Crewe Stay Top After Late Scare At Home To Colchester 

Will Jaaskelainen was the hero for table-toppers Crewe Alexandra on Tuesday evening, after he saved Frank Nouble’s late penalty as Colchester missed the chance to end Alex’s unbeaten run. 

Nouble missed his penalty in the 96th minute following the U’s’ Theo Robinson being sent off for an off the ball incident a minute earlier. 

United fell to 12th in the Sky Bet League Two table, as they look forward to their Carabao Cup last sixteen clash with Crawley Town next week.


Forest Green Pile Misery On Morecambe 

Forest Green Rovers moved up to third in the standings on Tuesday nigh,t after a hard-fought win over struggling Morecambe, who remain 23rd. 

Substitute Jack Aitchison broke the deadlock for Mark Cooper’s side in the 75th minute, before Morecambe were reduced to ten men when Lewis Alessandra picked up his second yellow card. 

The visiting team sealed their victory four minutes into stoppage time when Liam Shephard finished off a quick-fire counter-attack. 


Stevenage Remain Bottom After Last-Gasp Defeat To Swindon 

Stevenage stay rooted to the foot of the table after suffering a heart-breaking loss away to Swindon Town. 

Eoin Doyle, the current League Two top-scorer, found the net in the 90th minute to end his side’s four-game winless run.
