Even though it is almost beyond comprehension, almost twenty-five years have past since Macclesfield Town gloriously lifted the GM Vauxhall Conference title for the very first time.
Led by former Manchester United and Northern Ireland midfielder Sammy McIroy, The Silkmen not only secured the Conference title with five points to spare but also changed the whole narrative within the club - the effects of which are still vibrantly ringing to this day.
Just two years after Peter Wragg's side had avoided relegation courtesy of a last day victory at Wycombe Wanderers back in 1993, Sammy quickly built a side of warriors who would re-write the history books in the most dramatic of fashions.
Not only did that title victory lay the foundations for arguably the most illustrious and magical era in our history, it also inspired a generation of Silkmen followers - the legacy of which we still benefit from so richly today.
As we prepare to mark the 25th anniversary of such an evocative and memorable feat, we are asking everyone who holds cherished memories of that season to share them with us.
No matter whether you prefer to write to recollections down, email them over to us or take us on a wonderful walk down Memory Lane in person - we want you to be part of the story - just like you were all those years ago.
You can email your anecdotes to email@example.com, send them via post direct to the ground (marked for the attention of Bob Trafford) or give us a call on (01625) 264686.
