Macclesfield Town can confirm that Mark Blower is to leave the club after five years service as Chairman.
Mark has played a pivotal role in the success which the club enjoyed during this time and we would like to thank him for all his hard work, dedication and commitment.
"This has been an incredibly difficult decision to make, but due to personal reasons I will be stepping down as Chairman.
"I have really enjoyed my time at the club and Macclesfield Town will always remain incredibly special to me.
"There have been many highs and lows over the last five years of course - with the FA Trophy Final, promotion to the EFL and retaining our League status last weekend being a source of great pride.
"I wish the club every success going forward and would like to thank everyone who has helped me in so many ways during my time at the Moss Rose".
Our majority shareholder, Amar AlKadhi, added:
“There would be no MTFC in existence right now without the input of Mark.
"The prudent and efficient way he ran the club, kept the club afloat and competitive.
“Also, because of the honest and clear vision he had for MTFC it made me trust him completely, and carried on backing MTFC through the last tough few years.
“I will be forever grateful for that.”
We wish Mark all the very best for the future.
