Match Preview: Yeovil Town v Macclesfield Town

15 March 2019

Macclesfield Town make the long journey down to Somerset tomorrow, as we get set to contest a relegation six-pointer with Yeovil Town.

Buoyed by an incredibly loyal and no doubt vociferous away following, Sol Campbell's side will be looking to secure all three points against a side who are undoubtedly also plagued by relegation concerns.

Last Tuesday's postponed fixture against Exeter City meant that The Silkmen now reside at the foot of the League Two table, yet with ten games everyone at the club is acutely aware of what is needed to preserve our cherished EFL status.

That starts tomorrow, as we aim to bring a vital three points back up to the Moss Rose in what promises to be a pulsating clash against The Glovers.

Speaking ahead of the game, here are Sol Campbell's pre-match thoughts -

Yeovil are currently 22nd in the League Two table, having accumulated 36 points from their 37 games so far.

Darren Way's side have contested eighteen matches in front of their own supporters this season - winning four, drawing seven and losing seven of these. However the Somerset outfit have seen a degree of resurgence of late, picking up maximum points in their last two home fixtures against Cambridge United and Morecambe respectively.

We know that it is a long journey, but we really do need as many of our loyal fans right behind us this Saturday as we look to claim three massive points in our EFL survival quest.
