Macclesfield Town return to the Moss Rose this afternoon, as we contest the first of two home games over the course of the next seventy-two hours.
Sol Campbell's side will be hoping to return to winning ways against a Dons side who are fighting for promotion to League One and we are going to need each and every one of our loyal supporters right behind us this afternoon, as we continue on our quest for EFL safety.
Speaking before the game, the Manager called for us all to show the character and mental strength which is needed to write another odds-defying page of our history and you can hear Sol's thoughts in full here -
The former Arsenal and England defender will largely have a full squad at his disposal this afternoon, with Jamie Grimes (concussion) and Rhys Taylor (hip) the only absentees.
Our visitors currently reside in fourth position in the Sky Bet League Two table, having accumulated 62 points from their 35 games played.
They come into the contest having won their last four games and also boast the division's two leading goalscorers in Kieran Agard and Chuks Aneke.
Away from the impressive Stadium MK, The Dons have completed seventeen fixtures - winning six, drawing five and losing six of these.
Paul Tisdale's side have claimed maximum points in their last two away matches at Newport and most recently at Carlisle United, yet prior to this they suffered a six game streak without a win.
Speaking ahead of the game, the Dons Manager stated -
“The cliché in football is ‘concentrate on the next game’ and it’s a cliché because it’s true.
"Regardless of how we’ve played in the last four games, it’s about the points we’ve got at stake on Saturday."
“The margins are so fine and the danger is we become complacent.”
“Every game, the pressure will mount, the stakes get higher and we have to be ready.”
