Throughout the week, we have given you the opportunity to own a great piece of Silkmen memorabilia in order to raise funds for Mind.
After hearing that devoted fan Andrew Lamont was taking part in the Mind United: Peak District Challenge, midfielder Elliott Durrell put up a pair of his title-winning boots to auction off in support.
We are so grateful to each and every one of you who placed bids on this unique piece of memorabilia and would like to announce that the winner is Chris Taylor who pledged £200.00.
This is a fantastic sum for a very special charity and following the closure of the auction, we caught up with Elliott to say a word of thanks -
Further to this, Hayley Jarvis, Head of Physical Activity at Mind, said:
“We’d like to say a huge thank you to Andrew for choosing to fundraise for Mind.
"We're also really grateful to Elliott Durrell for donating his boots, Chris Taylor for his generous bid and everyone else at Macclesfield Town who has supported Andrew's fundraising efforts as he prepares to take on the Mind United: Trek The Peak District challenge.
"Every year, one in four of us will experience a mental health problem. That could be one person in every family, hundreds of football players and many thousands of football fans. With support from fans like Andrew and clubs like Macclesfield Town we hope that our On Your Side charity partnership with the EFL can bring about real change in the way football tackles mental health problems.
"Every penny Andrew raises will go towards Mind's life-changing services including our Infoline and the sports projects we run across the country.
"If you'd like to join Andrew and become part of the Mind United team taking on the Trek the Peak District challenge, you can sign-up here."
After hearing the result of the auction, Andrew expressed his gratitude to all those who had taken part in it -
"I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who took part in the auction in order to help me raise funds for Mind.
"In particular, I would like to say a special thank you to Chris whose bid really was magnificent and of course, to Elliott for donating his boots in the first place."
We will be following Andrew's journey very closely over the next few weeks and if you would like to donate to Andrew's Just Giving page then you can do here
