Charlotte Looks Back On Saturday's Game Against MK Dons

11 March 2019

I’m always excited on game day but I was more so on Saturday as was mascot with my friend Jack for our game against MK Dons.
It was great getting to meet all the players in the dressing room before the game.

I was in the McIlroy Suite when the team news came through. Lots of changes with many players returning from their injuries. It was good to see James Pearson back in our defence, with Callum Evans, Ryan Lloyd, Ben Stephens and Elliott Durrell all making their comebacks.

Us mascots had an amazing time having a kick about on the pitch and meeting Sol Campbell - to be honest I didn’t realise he was so tall!

Then it was time for the game to start and I took my place back home on the Star Lane End.

We started the game really well and on 19th minute Nathan Cameron sent us crazy by scoring the opening goal.

Unfortunately just before half time The Dons scored to bring the themselves level. It was really a game of two halves with The Dons claiming all 3 points in the end.

It was a hard result to take, despite knowing it would be a tough game with them fighting for promotion. It was made even more heartbreaking knowing teams around us picked up points.

We must dust ourselves off and ready ourselves for our next battle against Exeter on Tuesday evening.

See you there!
