After a very late night on Friday at Danny Whitaker’s testimonial race night I’m was so glad that we were only travelling the short distance to Bury the following day .
It was my first visit to Gigg Lane and another one of the 92 grounds crossed off.
I woke up in plenty of time to make the journey and was really excited despite knowing that it would be a very tough game against The Shakers.
I had just caught sight of the ground when the team news filtered through. I was really pleased to see Nathan Cameron and Ben Stephens return from their injuries - they are two great players and it is brilliant to have them back!
I must say I was a little upset to see us in our black kit because I am beginning to think it’s unlucky!
As I took my seat, I looked round to see so many of our supporters and the noise they made gave me goosebumps!
I always knew that the game was going to be a tough one - especially with how well Bury are doing at the moment but I couldn't help feeling disappointed with the end score and left the game slightly deflated.
All that matters now though is our next game at home against MK Dons. It is sure to be another hard game but we have to continue to stand and fight together.
See you there.
