Macclesfield Town are delighted to announce the signing of athletic midfielder Emmanuel Osadebe, who has joined the club on a one-year deal.
The hard-working 22-year-old midfielder started his career with Irish side Dundalk, before making the illustrious move to Tottenham Hotspur as part of their Foundation College Programme in 2014.
Emmanuel then secured his first professional contract at Gillingham and made his debut for The Gills on 8th August 2015 during a 4 - 0 victory over Sheffield United.
He made an immediate impression down in Kent, as he picked up the Man of The Match award against The Blades and followed this up with a string of impressive performances which resulted in him being called up to the Republic of Ireland Under 21 side three months later.
The accolades kept raining in, as Emmanuel secured Gillingham's Goal of the Season award for his remarkable strike against Bury and in the summer of 2016 it was no surprise when he was offered a new contract at the Priestfield Stadium.
Making a total of 42 appearances for the Kent side, the tenacious midfielder then signed for Cambridge United on a two-year deal where he would make 16 appearances for The U's - in addition to a brief loan spell at Newport County.
Known affectionately as "Paddy", Emmanuel is a true athlete and this was proven beyond any doubt yesterday when he was the last man standing during the gruelling bleep tests.
In truth, Emmanuel made it seem effortless and together with the fact that his likeable character endears him to everyone he meets, we are delighted to have secured what represents another exciting signing.
We wish Emmanuel every success during his time here at the Moss Rose and will be catching up with him later today to get his take on the move.
