There is now less than three weeks to go before the Mind United: Trek The Peak District Challenge and we will be supporting Silkmen fanatic Andrew Lamont all the way, as he prepares to represent Macclesfield Town in this gruelling quest.
The twelve hour endurance event is certainly not for the faint-hearted, as it will test both physical and mental stamina to to absolute maximum.
Make no mistake - just like dealing with a mental health problem, this will be no walk in the park.
Since Andrew signed up for this unique event, he was raised an incredible £810.00 - every single penny of which will go towards supporting the vital services which Mind provide.
Approximately one in four people in the UK will experience a mental health problem each year and in addition to this, one in six people report a common mental health problem (such as anxiety and depression) in any given week.
Mind provide absolutely critical support for all those who suffer with a mental health problem, as well as playing a prominent role in helping to break the stigma.
We would love Andrew to hit the £1,000 mark for this inspirational feat. If you would like to help Andrew make a real difference, then please visit his Just Giving page here.
