Macclesfield Town are delighted to announce that midfielder Adam Dawson has signed a new one year extension to his contract here at the Moss Rose.
The 26-year old initially signed for The Silkmen within the January transfer window and subsequently enjoyed a loan spell back at former club AFC Telford United.
Adam started his career with his hometown club Bury, before making an illustrious move to join Liverpool in 2007.
After a two year spell at Anfield, Adam returned to Gigg Lane to complete his youth scholarship.
Dawson then signed a one year contract with Wigan Athletic (who were then a Premier League side), before heading out on loan to Accrington Stanley in 2012.
Spells at Bacup Borough, FC United and Barrow ensued, before Adam signed for Leicester City following a successful trial period at the King Power Stadium.
After a short loan spell at Notts County, Adam temporarily joined Nuneaton Town for what proved to be a lucrative spell at Liberty Way. Dawson made thirteen appearances for The Boro' during which time he scored five times and weighed in with eight assists.
A subsequent loan move to Bristol Rovers yielded equally impressive statistics, before Adam made the permanent switch to Kidderminster Harriers in July 2015.
Spells at Tranmere Rovers, Eastleigh and a return to Nuneaton Town followed, ahead of a move to Southport in December 2017 on non-contract terms.
The tricky winger then signed for AFC Telford United last summer, before putting pen to paper at Chester last November.
We would like to welcome Adam back to the Moss Rose and wish him every success during the forthcoming campaign.
We will be speaking to Adam later on this afternoon, so check back here to hear his thoughts on staying with The Silkmen.
