Macclesfield Town are delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper Owen Evans, who has joined the club on a season-long loan deal from Championship side Wigan Athletic.
The 22-year-old is a former Wales under 21 international, who came through the academy ranks Hereford United, before moving to Lancashire as a second year scholar.
Hailing from Newport in South Wales, Owen is described by Wigan as being a "hot prospect" at the club and their continuing belief in him was confirmed during the summer ,as they concluded a two-year professional contract with the Welshman.
In addition to training with the first team squad at the DW Stadium, Owen has also enjoyed successful loan spells at Witton Albion, Rhyl, North Ferriby United and most recently, National League side Sutton United.
The commanding 'keeper is known for dominating his penalty area and his performances so far have showcased his great agility and distribution skills.
