After months of intense training and inspiring fundraising, Silkmen fanatic Andrew Lamont completed the Mind United: Peak District Challenge in the early hours of yesterday.
Andrew took on the overnight challenge, which proved to be a daunting test of both physical and mental strength - all in aid of the EFL's charity partner, Mind.
After raising a phenomenal £1,135, Andrew set off from Edale at 8pm on Saturday evening and proceeded to take on the 12 hour trek which amounted to a staggering 40k of demanding terrain.
With Mind volunteers offering help, assistances and encouragement every step of the way, Andrew completed the trek at 8am on Sunday morning, where he was given the heroic welcome that he so richly deserved.
We would like to congratulate Andrew - not only for the completion of a fabulous challenge, but also for raising a superb amount for a very deserving cause.
You truly are a Silkmen hero!
