Macclesfield Town fanatic Andrew Lamont has smashed past the £1,000 mark ahead of next weekend's Peak District Challenge.
Over the course of the last few months, Andrew has tirelessly campaigned to raise funds for Mind - in addition to putting in hours of gruelling training in order to make sure that he is both mentally and physically prepared for the demanding test which lies ahead.
Not only that, he has embraced every aspect of the project with a smile on his face - eager to do everything that he can do to raise money for this incredibly worthwhile charity.
Everyone at Macclesfield Town is so proud of Andrew, he has been a wonderful ambassador for Macclesfield Town throughout this inspiring journey and his commitment to this poignant cause has been inspiring to us all.
Since Andrew signed up for this unique event, he has raised an incredible £1095.00 - every single penny of which will go towards supporting the vital services which Mind provide.
Approximately one in four people in the UK will experience a mental health problem each year and in addition to this, one in six people report a common mental health problem (such as anxiety and depression) in any given week.
Mind provide absolutely critical support for all those who suffer with a mental health problem, as well as playing a prominent role in helping to break the stigma.
We will be catching up with Andrew later this week, as he puts his final preparations into place ahead of the challenge and if you would like to help him continue to make a real difference, then please visit his Just Giving page here.
