Macclesfield Town midfielder Brice Ntambwe committed to the club for another season earlier on this week and there is little doubt that the former Belgian youth international is looking forward to the forthcoming campaign.
After making eight appearances last year and proving to be a vital part of our EFL survival, Brice is pleased to have secured his Moss Rose future.
"I am really glad to be back and I can't wait to get started now.
"The end of last season was fantastic when we secured our league status - it was a really happy time."
Although that defiant resurgence is something which is ultimately confined to the history books now, there is no doubt that the momentum derived from it can play a tangible role in galvanising everyone ahead of the new campaign -
"Yes definitely - we can build on our performances in the last games, because we put in some great team performances and they were really important.
"Personally, I think that my performances at the end of the season were better and I will try my best to build on them this season".
Throughout the rollercoaster ride of the last campaign, one thing remained constant and that was the support of the fans who were a vital part of our successful survival bid -
"They were fantastic - especially that last game where they really pushed us on.
"You could see by the way we played how they really helped us and how important the fans were for us.
"We will definitely need them this season as well!"
With the new squad starting to take shape, Brice can't wait for the big kick-off to arrive -
"Yeah I am definitely optimistic - we still have to finish building the team and progress together."
