Macclesfield Town were incredibly saddened to learn that Ben Crowther - the adorable seven-year-old who was our mascot against Morecambe last season, passed away in his mother's arms last Sunday.
With the help of Ben's CLIC Sargent nurse and the Free Kicks Foundation charity, we had the honour of welcoming his family to the Moss Rose back in April.
Despite the fact that Ben was embroiled in an inspirational battle against a type of cancer called Rhabdoid Sarcoma, his face lit up the Moss Rose that day and this was undoubtedly something which none of us will ever forget.
Together with his two older brothers James and Harry, Ben touched the hearts of us all - as despite adversity which most of us can only begin to imagine, his smile shone through.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of Ben's friends and family at this difficult time.
