Macclesfield Town are pleased to announce the signing of powerful 21 year old defender Zak Jules, who has joined the club until the end of the season.
A Scottish international at every level between under 17 and under 21, Zak came through the academy ranks at Championship side, Reading.
During his time at the Madejski Stadium, Zak gained First Team experience during loan spells at Hemel Hempstead Town, Braintree Town and Scottish side, Motherwell.
Jules then signed a two year contract at League One side Shrewsbury Town in the summer of 2017 and shortly after agreed a loan deal with Chesterfield.
Having made five appearances for The Spireites, Zak then suffered a 90% hamstring tear in his sixth appearance and subsequently headed back to The New Meadow to conduct his rehabilitation.
After successfully recovering from the injury, Zak joined Port Vale on loan in January 2018, before completing a three month loan deal at National League side Barnet at the end of last year.
Zak was released by Shrewsbury earlier this month and we would like to wish him every success during his time here at Macclesfield Town.
