VIDEO: Jamie Grimes And Ben Stephens Go Back To School As Part Of The CST's Healthy Hearts Programme

28 January 2019

Macclesfield Town players Jamie Grimes and Ben Stephens went back to school today, as they joined with the Community Sports Trust to deliver a "Healthy Hearts" programme at Beech Hall.

The session started with Josh Hawkes introducing our two players and there then followed a really interesting question and answer session, where pupils from Year Six posed their teasers to the Silkmen stars.

Here is a video of it -

There then followed a game of Speed Catch, where Jamie and Ben were put on opposing sides and despite the cold weather, everyone displayed some brilliant handling which made for a really exciting contest.

During this, we managed to grab Josh and Jamie to give us a little bit more information about the programme -

After a brief interlude, the pupils returned to the classroom, where Josh and Jack Parry provided the pupils with an innovative and interactive session on the workings of the circulatory system.

We were all amazed by the pupil's knowledge of this and the session was a really enjoyable one for everyone present.

The Healthy Hearts programme is funded by the National League Trust and Adelphi Healthcare Solutions, Bollington.
