New signing Reece Cole made his Silkmen debut during Saturday’s victory over Oldham Athletic, kick-starting his loan move at Moss Rose.
When Macc showed their interest, Reece was quickly attracted by the offer to play in a team improving game by game.
“With what’s going on at the club at the moment – the gaffer being here and Andy Cole coming in a few days a week – I’m able to learn off the top pros.
“I want to bring goals; assists; different ranges of passing; long shots; set pieces; everything really. I want to help us win games to get points on the board and climb up the table.
“Every other League Two team tries to lump it, but the gaffer is trying to get us to play. The style of football here is also what attracted me.”
The 20-year-old came on as a substitute after 69 minutes, giving a glimmer of what he could bring to Sol Campbell’s squad over the coming weeks.
“We were under the cosh in the first half, but in the second half we pinned them back. That’s when we got the second goal and then for me, coming on was a great feeling.”
