Nine year old Charlotte looks back on our scintillating victory at Grimsby on Saturday
All last week I was really excited about making my first trip to Grimsby Town on Saturday and with it being my first week back at school, I really did need something to look forward to!
The night before the game I packed my bag ready for the early start and just as I had finished the news broke that Nathan Cameron was staying with us for the rest of the season at least.
What a brilliant player he has been for us so far and despite being told to get an early night I was too excited to sleep.
When I got on the coach, the same familiar faces joined me and everyone was convinced that the day would be a good one as we started on the 114 mile trip.
When we arrived at Blundell Park I was so cold and had to force my Mum into buying me a hot chocolate before the game started as I couldn't stop my hands from shaking!
When the lads marched out all that changed however and the noise that we made was brilliant. There was people singing and chanting all the way through the game and it really did make it special.
There was no way that we were not going to win on Saturday and when Tyrone scored it was something which will stay with me for along time because it showed how much everyone was fighting.
When Scott made it two that was the sign for the party to really start because other than one or two chances Kieran had quite an easy day in the Macc goal!
Normally after a game I kind of forget about it and look towards the next one. But maybe last Saturday was different because it showed how we are coming back from a position which some people didn't think we would.
I can't wait for Saturday now - it is going to be a long week really as I just want to see the lads play again and move up the league like I know they will do.
Roll on Saturday
