Cioffi leaves Crawley Town 

Following a run of just one league win in eleven games, head coach Gabriele Cioffi has parted ways with Crawley Town by mutual consent. 

Edu Rubio, who was Cioffi’s assistant, will take over on an interim basis as head coach for The Reds, who are 17th in the table. 

A club statement said: "The club would like to thank Gabriele for his services to Crawley Town and we wish him all the best for the future.” 


Scunthorpe and Vale fined by FA 

Scunthorpe United and Port Vale have been charged by the Football Association for "failing to ensure players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion." 

As a result of this, Vale have been fined £2000 and Scunthorpe, £1000, after both sides agreed to the charge. 


Dewsnip takes new job at Argyle 

Ex-England and Everton youth Coach Neil Dewsnip has accepted the role of becoming the Director of Football at Plymouth Argyle. 

He has been at the club since the beginning of the season, working under manager Ryan Lowe as a technical consultant. 

"I am really excited to start as director of football" said Dewsnip. "I have been lucky enough to have enjoyed success with the English FA. 

“So, I will be working as hard as I can to ensure that this pattern of success continues at Home Park." 


Jones moves to Oldham 

Current free agent and former Burnley and Sheffield Wednesday midfielder David Jones has joined Oldham Athletic on a short-term deal. 

Jones came through the Manchester United academy as a youngster but now 35, only played twice last season for Wednesday. 

Boss Dino Maamria said: "He's coming to Oldham to make a real impact and help the team climb up the league table."
