Silkmen Pay Tribute To Kavan Maddocks

5 August 2019

Macclesfield Town are deeply saddened to learn that loyal Silkmen fan Kavan Maddocks has passed away ay the tender age of 23.

Kavan was a well-known supporter of the club for over over ten years and sung his heart out in support of the team both in the Star Lane End and around the country.

A regular face at all our home and away games, Kavan made many friends at the club due to his infectious personality which you could not help to be drawn towards the moment you met him.

Not only did Kavan prove to be a devoted Silkmen follower himself, he also attracted many others to the club - such was the esteem that he was held in.

Three years ago, Kavan tragically fell from the car park on Churchill Way and remained in an unconscious state until his passing.

Throughout this time, friends have fought with him every step of the way - creating a large banner bearing his name, together with the poignant wording "Against All Odds".

Kavan's legacy is sure to live on here at the Moss Rose - through all the memories that he helped to create and the people who have also nurtured a deep affinity to the club because of him.

We would like to offer our most sincere condolences to all Kavan's friends and family at this incredibly difficult period.
