After a successful operation to repair his groin, Elliott Durrell is progressing well with his rehab and is right on schedule for where he should be.
The majority of his post-surgery rehabilitation has been about strengthening and rebuilding the damaged structures.
We have planned his rehab strategically to strengthen his whole leg and the plan is for him to be even stronger than before the injury.
Elliott took a big step forwards with his rehab this week and has now started running for the first time since his operation.
He will shortly be back on the grass, where we can then take his rehabilitation up another gear.
Ryan Lloyd unfortunately suffered a re-occurrence of an old injury last month and is currently in a boot.
I am unable to disclose the full nature of the injury, but Ryan is progressing well with his rehabilitation.
At the minute, we are working towards a goal of rebuilding his overall strength and he is performing superbly.
With any luck, it won’t be too long before the specialist gives us the all clear to start his progressive return to play plan.
Luke Simpson dislocation his thumb and ruptured a ligament just over a month ago now during a fixture.
He has since has successful surgery and is well on his way to returning to training.
Luke begins his grass-based rehabilitation next Monday, with a planned graded return allowing him to return to fixtures shortly after.
Ben Stephens has made good progress from a hip injury that has made him miss the last month and has begun to reintegrate into team training sessions.
He is continuing to make good progress and has made good inroads with his recovery.
