Macclesfield Town are delighted to announce the appointment of Kevin Green, who joins the club today in the role of Chief Executive.
Kevin brings a wealth of experience to the Football Club, having previously worked in all areas of the game ranging from the Northern Premier League to the Champions League.
Between 2001 and 2004 Kevin was one of eight UK representatives on the UEFA European Club Forum and played an integral role in the development of a second European competition - which would ultimately become the Europa League.
Following on from this, Kevin moved into the Education sector within a Derbyshire based school and successfully managed a football development programme which was rated as being in the top 1% in the country.
Speaking to Silkmen Online, Kevin stated -
"I am really excited to join Macclesfield Town and am looking forward to the challenge ahead.
"The club appealed to me for a whole host of reasons - not least their reputation as a tight knit family club with dedicated staff and an incredibly loyal fanbase
"Despite Macclesfield being a small club in comparison to many other EFL sides, those who are involved really do help us defy the odds and I will be working to ensure that this continues over the coming years
"The fans clearly have an integral role in this and I looking forward to meeting as many of them as possible within the near future"
Speaking of Kevin's appointment, Chairman Mark Blower stated -
"Kevin has a wealth of experience with Football Administration and I am delighted that he has come to join us at the Football Club.
"He will be getting to know many of you in the next few weeks and we wish him every success in his new role"
