Despite the fact that Blackpool have made regular trips to the Moss Rose to contest pre-season friendly encounters, The Tangerines have only ever made three competitive visits.
The first of these came back in December 1999, when Sammy McIlroy's men suffered a 1 - 0 defeat in what proved to be our one and only season in the third tier of English football.
Two goals in six first half minutes gave Gil Prescott's Silkmen side maximum points when the two sides next locked horns at the Moss Rose however. Richard Tracey struck on 22 minutes and this was followed by a John Askey strike which helped seal a 2 - 1 victory back in March 2001.
The last time that Blackpool visited the Moss Rose for a competitive fixture was back in August 2008, when Keith Alexander's side progressed to the Second Round of the League Cup with a scintillating 2 - 0 victory.
Defender Sean Brisley opened the scoring on 25 minutes and this was followed with a Martin Gritton strike just before the hour mark - which set up a Second Round clash ironically away at West Ham United.
Our complete record against Blackpool at the Moss Rose is as follows -
Played 3. Won 2. Drawn 0. Lost 1.
