Macclesfield Town Under 18's retained their perfect start to the season at Barnton this afternoon - but it wasn't without a real battle against their tenacious hosts.
Jim Hall's side went a goal down after just five minutes, yet this catalysed the side into action, as they looked to restore parity in the quickest time possible.
This duly came just three minutes later, when Max Phillips found Sam Jordan on the edge of the area and he unleashed an unstoppable volley past the home 'keeper.
The home side rallied and regained the lead just sixty seconds later, yet Jordan was to equalise once more in the 23rd minute - finishing a flowing Silkmen move.
Shortly after the re-start, some great work by Joe Cobey saw him put Shaun Holden in on goal and his confident finish gave Jim Hall's side the lead for the first time in the game.
The home side were then reduced to ten men for two yellow cards, as Macc looked to make their numerical advantage tell.
Akim Samms was then unlucky to see his acrobatic overhead kick ruled out for offside, before Dan Dolling gave Macc an unassailable lead by firing home number four.
