Eddie Brown RIP

5 October 2018

Macclesfield Town were saddened to learn of the passing of former Manager, Eddie Brown.

Eddie played for Arsenal and Chesterfield before making a name for himself in the Cheshire League with Bangor and Runcorn.

He arrived at the Moss Rose at the start of the 1972/73 season and after a spell with the Reserve side, took the reins as Manager of the First Team in January 1974.

Despite the fact that Eddie took the club to the Cheshire Senior Cup Final and the FA Trophy Semi-Final, he resigned from the position in September 1974.

Everyone at the club would like to express their deepest condolences to Eddie's family and friends during this difficult time.
