Match Preview: Macclesfield Town v Yeovil Town

23 November 2018

The Silkmen return to the Moss Rose tomorrow as we take on Yeovil Town at home in the Sky Bet League Two.

After last week’s defeat away at MK Dons, the team will be looking to bounce back and grab all three points in a crucial match against The Glovers.

Danny Whitaker spoke to Silkmen TV earlier today and here are his thoughts ahead of the game.

Jordan Ponticelli continues to miss out as he completes his rehabilitation programme; but he is set to be the only player unavailable for selection..

The visitors come into the game having not played since the 10th November, after their home game against Lincoln City was called off last weekend.

They have won once in their last nine league outings going into Saturday’s game at the Moss Rose and sit in 17th place in the Sky Bet League Two table ahead of kick off.

Opposition defender Garry Warren had this to say ahead of tomorrow’s game:

"I don’t think it matters where anyone is in the table. You'll find the bottom teams are scrapping for their lives more than teams sat mid-table who might be in the comfort zone.

"It's all about going there Saturday and showing them where we're at as a team and as a squad. We’re looking upwards in terms of building momentum and challenging teams at the top of the table.

"The top is where we want to be as a club and where players want to be but in order to be successful, we have to beat teams like Macclesfield and the teams below us."
