Macclesfield Town are pleased to announce the signing of commanding defender Nathan Cameron, who has joined the club on a deal which initially runs until January.
The 26 year old began his career at Coventry City and after captaining both both the Under 16 and Under 18 sides, signed his first professional contract with the club in 2010.
In the three years that followed, Nathan made 52 appearances for The Sky Blues - as well as completing loan periods at Nuneaton and Northampton Town.
During this time Nathan also gained international recognition, as he was named in the England U20 side who locked horns with France in February 2011.
Nathan suffered a knee ligament injury during the 2011/12 season and this limited him to fourteen appearances as Coventry were relegated from the Championship.
Cameron found First Team opportunities hard to come by the following season and he subsequently left the Ricoh Arena during the summer of 2013.
It was at this point that Nathan signed for Bury and embarked on a successful five year stint at Gigg Lane.
Despite initially being employed as a central midfielder, Nathan quickly developed into an imposing and committed defender - who was unquestionably a fans favourite.
Nathan went on to make 128 appearances for The Shakers in all competitions - scoring on thirteen occasions.
He was released from Bury at the end of last season and will claim the number 27 shirt here at the Moss Rose.
We would like to welcome Nathan to the club and wish him the very best of luck during his time with us.
