Macclesfield Town Under 18s launched another devastating performance this afternoon, as five second half goals helped to secure a 7 - 1 victory against Northwich Victoria.
The visitors began the game in the ascendancy, with Jake Hall unleashing a thunderous strike at goal in the 7th minute which was tipped onto the bar by the Northwich 'keeper.
The game then settled down somewhat as the contest largely became a midfield battle, with both sides unable to create an real clear cut chances.
The next opportunity of note came in the 25th minute, when Hussein Mohammed burst through the home defence - yet he was thwarted by the home 'keeper who managed to tip the ball around the far post.
Manager Jim Hall then introduced Freddie Sass into the fray and that decision proved to be an inspired one, as three minutes after his introduction the youngster hammered the ball home from eighteen yards to finally break the deadlock.
Two minutes later our lead was doubled, as Jake Hall rifled home a twenty yard strike to firmly put The Silkmen in control.
The visitors emerged from the half-time interval looking to end the game as a contest in the least amount of time possible and just three minutes into the second period, Mohammed's cross from the left was easily converted by Sass for number three.
Northwich did try to get back into the game with a number of neatly crafted moves, yet Mohammed made it four on 55 minutes - as he tapped the ball home from close range.
It was to become five on the hour mark, when Max Phillips hammered home a twenty-five yard screamer into the bottom corner and ten minutes from time, James Madeira seized on a loose ball in the Northwich penalty area to fire home the sixth.
Shaun Holden then made it seven with just six minutes left on the clock, before Ben Hickey claimed a consolation for the hosts as he converted from close range.
The lads return to the Moss Rose next Sunday, as they contest their League Cup Quarter Final tie with Davenham.
