Macclesfield Town Majority Shareholder Amar AlKadhi provides an update -
The next couple of months is a crucial period in our Club’s history, as we navigate our way out of an extremely difficult start to the season.
The injuries, bad luck and last minute goals conceded are all well documented, but that’s behind us now. We must look forward with positivity and unity, led by Danny and Neil. The squad of players we have certainly have what it takes to steer us away from trouble.
Danny wanted the Manager’s job during the summer, with an experienced assistant. This was given a great deal of thought but it was decided we wanted Danny to acquire more experience assisting an experienced manager to bridge the gap between being a player to becoming a very good manager further down the line.
As players come back from injury, Danny is best placed to make the best use of them, given his deep knowledge of the squad.
He’s Macc through and through and deserves the respect from everyone connected with the club.
January will obviously be an opportunity to review things and re-shape the squad, as necessary, depending on the progress we have made.
