The young players underwent an intensive training sessions replicating the very nature of a full time football programme.
Over the coming months these and many new players will continue to take part in both training sessions and competitive matches against fellow professional clubs and elite academies. Conditioning and physical development for these young players will also be assisted by the Tytherington Club, Macclesfield www.thetytheringtonclub.com who will assist through delivery of fitness classes and sports specific advice and guidance.
Paul McGuire said; "This has been a great start to things, it's a really positive initiative for the Football Club and we have several areas to delve into in terms of establishing a structured youth programme for the club. This wont be an easy thing to build, but after observing the players on show today it's clear the town (and the club) is crying out for it".
