Macclesfield Town were pleased to welcome four generations of supporters to the McIlroy Suite this afternoon, as we helped long-standing fan Margaret Jackson celebrate her 89th birthday.
Margaret will be affectionately known to many of you, as she has been a devoted follower of the club for over seventy years.
She is one of a select group of people who have attending all four of of Wembley appearances and has helped the club in a variety of different ways over seven decades.
Margaret has washed the kits, cleaned the dressing rooms and even ran the players baths in the 1970's and 1980s!
In addition to this, many of you will remember the brilliant job that Margaret did in arranging away match travel. This meant that a vast amount of people could follow the team away from home who previously struggled to find transport.
Margaret is a true Silkmen Legend and part of the fabric which makes us who we are today.
We were proud to welcome her to the McIlroy Suite this afternoon, alongside daughter Lorraine, grand-daughter Charlie and great-grandson Oliver - all of whom are following in her footsteps by passionately supporting the club.
We will be catching up with Margaret in the New Year, but for now we would like to wish her a very happy birthday!
