A season to savour for all Macclesfield Town fans was rounded off in style in the McIlroy Suite after our match with Dagenham & Redbridge.
The annual player of the season awards night took place and we round up all the winners on a terrific night of celebration.
Keith Lowe was the biggest winner as he racked up three awards, followed closely behind by Danny Whitaker and Ryan Lloyd.
Goal of The Season – Ryan Lloyd Vs Maidenhead United
In a shortlist of five possible goals that could’ve won the award, Ryan Lloyd’s effort from his own half at York Road was chosen as the best goal of the season.
Back in November he spotted the goalkeeper off his line and hit a shot at goal from his own half which found its way into the net.
After receiving the award Lloyd said, “It’s been an unbelievable season.” And thanked the fans for all their support.

Keith Lowe was the players’ choice for Player of The Season. In his first season with the club, Lowe didn’t miss a single minute of football and played over 4,000 minutes.
After receiving the award, from manager John Askey, the defender said, “I’m delighted, the lads have been absolutely brilliant, so thank you to each one of them.”
Fan’s Player of The Season – Danny Whitaker
Danny Whitaker has been a vital part of the Silkmen squad once again this season, and the Macclesfield stalwart received the fan’s award to a standing ovation.
This season, the midfielder made his 400th appearance in the blue and white shirt and scored vital goals against the likes of Sutton, Tranmere, and Aldershot.
After collecting the award, he said, “This just tops the promotion off. It’s unbelievable what we’ve achieved this season.”
Danny Whitaker also went on to win the Andy Mellor award in the night and Keith Lowe picked up a further two awards.
