Goals from Greg Daniels and Tom France saw the Silkmen coming from behind to beat Burnley at the Moss Rose.
The Silkmen had gone a goal down in controversial circumstances when Burnley's goal had been initially flagged for offside only to be overruled by the referee who had seen the ball skim off a Silkmen defender.
But the Blues battled back and were ahead by half time, first Sam Cooke was the man who reacted fastest when a Greg Daniels shot cannoned off the bar, and slotted home.
A few moments later it wasTom Meachin rattling the woodwork, and Tom France on hand to nod home the rebound.
Daniels almost hit a third before half time when he raced away from the defence and hit a low shot which the visiting 'keeper spilled. It rolled agonisingly towards the goal, but the Burnley stopper managed to recover just in time to stop it rolling over the line.
The second half saw no more goals, but the Silkmen did come close when Cooke hit the bar again from 25 yards, but this time there was no one on hand to follow up.
