The Silkmen will take on local rivals Stockport County in the Youth Alliance Cup Area Final following the Hatters victory over Preston North End.

The game will take place at Edgeley Park on Wednesday 14th April 2010 with a 4pm kick-off. The game will be settled on the day, with penalties to determine a winner if the game is all square after 90 minutes.

"It'll be a tough game especially given we've been drawn away," said manager John Askey, "but we knew that would be the case whoever we played."

"The situation at County is well documented. But what it has meant is that a lot of their youth team players have been involved with the first team. They'll clearly have benefitted from that but in the same way a lot of our lads have been regulars in the reserve team and it promises to be a cracking game."

The winner of the Northern Section Final will then play the team who lifts the Southern Area Cup at a venue to be decided.
