The former Peterborough and Lincoln was part of the exodus from Boston United following the Pilgrims relegation from the Football League at the end of the 2006/07 campaign. A regular scorer throughout his career, Green revelled in his new role at the Moss Rose, his goal against Bradford City on opening day a precursor of what was to follow. Forming a productive partnership with Martin Gritton he was eventually to finish as leading scorer, his tally including some impressive strikes from distance and will be looking to rediscover that form this season.
