Now in his third spell with the Silkmen, Matthew Tipton joined the club from Droylsden in the Summer of 2009. Tipton's first spell began in 2002 and saw him spend three seasons at the club scoring 14, 19 and 14 goals culminating in a play-off semi-final appearance in his third year.
Left the club to join Mansfield and then Bury before rejoining the Silkmen in 2006 and scoring a further five goals for the club.
After leaving the Silkmen he joined Hyde United and scored 17 in his first season before joining Droylsden.
The fans favourite joined the Silkmen on trial and impressed manager Keith Alexander enough to earn a one year contract.
