Ben Wright began his football career at Lincolnshire side Deeping Rangers before joining Kettering Town in 1998 before eventually joining Bristol City for £30,000 aged 18. Ben made two appearances for City and had a short loan spell with Woking before making a move to Norway in search of first team football.
He spent seven years in Norway playing for Viking, IK Start and Moss FK, winning the Norwegian FA Cup, Norwegian First Division and scoring at Stamford Bridge in the UEFA Cup along the way.
The summer of 2007 saw Ben returning to England and joining Lincoln City. His first season back in English football saw a healthy return of 15 goals from 26 starts and eight sub appearances. Last season saw his chances limited by injuries to just 17 starts in all competitions with a further 20 from the bench. This saw him scoring three times including a League Cup goal against Derby County. Joined the Silkmen in Summer of 2009.
