Experienced midfielder Paul Bolland re-joined Macclesfield Town this summer having previously been released by the Silkmen at the end of his first season with the club. The former Grimsby Town player made 19 starts in his first year at the Moss Rose, scoring once as he looked to resurrect his career having missed all of the previous season due to injury.
The tough-tackling midfielder began his career at Bradford City where he made 12 championship appearances before moving to Notts County for £75,000. In six years at Meadow Lane he played more than 180 times. Moving to Grimsby he continued to be a regular, clocking up another 150 matches in four years.
Paul added some bite and experience to the Silkmen's midfield and will be looking to make the most of his opportunity second time around.
