The Silkmen moved quickly to sign up the right-back on a two year deal at the Moss Rose despite the youngster still having a further 12 months to run on his youth scholarship.
At just 16 years and 342 days he became the youngest player ever to feature for the Silkmen in the Football League, impressing management and fans alike with his performances both in the Youth Team and Reserves where he was a regular last season before his elevation to the First Team for the final game of the 2010/11 campaign.
Elliot has also attracted the attention of the Welsh international setup, featuring for the U17s in the 'Four Nations Tournament' in Falkenberg, Sweden in July and has since featured for the U21s in Hungary and Montenegro.
