The young keeper was signed prior to the start of the 2010/11 campaign as back up to first choice keeper Jose Veiga. The former Preston North End trainee had spent last season playing in the Welsh Premier League for Rhyl Town after his release from Deepdale.
The form of Veiga kept him out of first team action, but his form for the Silkmen Reserve team was enough to earn him a further contract this season, but he started the campaign injured, limiting his chances before recovering to spend a month on loan at Colwyn Bay.
