Brother of Wayne, John is currently in his second year of his scholarship at the Moss Rose. But such was the progress made by the centre forward in his first season, John recently signed a two year professional contract and is expected to make a big impact during that time.
After a few appearances from the bench, he was given his full debut in the Silkmen's home defeat at the hands of Bournemouth in mid March and scored his first goal in the 2-1 defeat at Dagenham. A few weeks later he scored the opener in the vital 2-0 win at Chester City. He is expected to make a big impact in League Two this season.
