The tall striker, who was a prolific scorer for the Foxes' reserve team arrived at the Moss Rose to bolster the club's attacking options in the August 2009 Transfer Window. He joined the Silkmen on loan until the end of December looking to get a slice of first team action and weighed in with some useful goals.
Those performances prompted the club to sign Ricky on a permanent deal in January, one that will see him stay at the Moss Rose until the end of the 2010/11 campaign. With seven goals from just eighteen starts, his season came to a premature end in March, an injury that will almost certainly see him miss the first few months of the new season.
