The full back made was given his debut by former boss Paul Ince whilst still a trainee. Reward with a professional contract prior to the start of the 2007/08 campaign, Izak was a regular in the team during the second half of the season and has now over 100 appearances under his belt.
Assured on the ball and always willing to get forward the Stafford born defender was attracted the interest of several clubs but having initially rejected an offer of a new contract in the summer of 2009, he signed a two year deal with the Silkmen and enjoyed an extended run in the team under first Keith Alexander and then Gary Simpson.
