One of new boss Ian Brightwell's first signings Husbands joined the club on a two year deal in July 2007. Regarded by many as being one of the quickest players in the lower leagues, Michael started out his career as a trainee with Aston Villa before moving on to spells with Hereford, Southend, Walsall and most recently Port Vale. His appearances at Vale Park were mainly restricted to the substitutes' bench due to the form of strikers Leon Constantine and Akpo Sodge and by moving to the Moss Rose he is looking to make a first team slot his own. Had been sidelined recently with a back problem and went out on loan to Telford United. (28/1/08)
