Horton's Reaction

Posted on: Sat 12 Aug 2006

"It was poor defending again for the second goal I'm afraid to say, but I'll have to see it on the video because it all happened so quickly.  The own goal I think typifies how it's going for us at the moment.  There were some pleasing things but to lose he game like that is a crime really because we didn't deserve that.

"Overall I didn't think the performance was too bad, Jamie Tolley and young Jordan Hadfield were tremendous in the 1st half.  Jamie's got four shots in, maybe more than the rest of our midfield have all season.

"Jamie ran out of steam a little later on, I might have taken him off but you don't really want to because he needs the games, he's not played all through the pres-season for Shrewsbury.

"Bully probably should have come off at half time, he's got a bit of sickness at the moment, and he would have if I'd have known but I didn't.

"The front two have got to improve on holding the ball up more for us, because we gave the ball away an awful lot when it got up there."
