Captain's view
Dave Morley talks to Silkmen Online about the upcoming season
"I'm really looking forward to the first game of the season away at Darlington because one of my best friends has signed for them this summer and it's quite possible that I'll be marking him. I would have liked to have played the first game at home, but we'll go to Darlington and play our best."
"We have to start off with a good result, unfortunately we suffered a defeat at the beginning of last season and we ended up near the bottom of the table and it's difficult to climb back up. We've got to start the season with a win and we'll definitely be going there with that intention."

"We'll also face Hartlepool and MK Dons in that first week and they will be difficult matches as both teams have come down from League One, but then again we had some great results against higher teams last season in competitions such as the L.D.V. Vans Trophy and I don't season any reason why it should be different this time around. Playing at home will be an added bonus and if we carry on playing as well at home as we did last season, then I'm sure we'll come out on top."
"I can't wait to get the season under way. I look forward to every game and once you've had a few weeks off you miss it and you're anxious to get back into it."
"Playing away against LeicesterCity in the first round of the Carling Cup will be massive for us. We'll be playing against a great team with a very large following, but we'll go there and play to the best of our abilities and hopefully get through to the next round."
